Made of stone and egg yolks

According to an old Czech legend egg yolks were used during its construction to last for ages.

If during your stay in dynamic Prague you yearn for an oasis of calm, simply turn off from the Lesser Town. Our Concierge Recommends
Shopping on Pařížská street
Pařížská Street is considered the most exclusive street in the whole of Prague. What Paris has in Schanzelize Street Prague has in Pařížská Street. Located in Old Town near the Jewish Quarter, Paris Street is home to the top designer shops in the world. As one might expect with so many fashionable stores, Paris Street is also home to some of the best restaurants and cafes.
Beer tasting & tours
For ages beer culture has had a significant position in Czech people's mind. Beer tasting, beer tours and beer spa are an entertaining way to get to know Prague's Bohemian culture. Such degustation events take place even in Augustine, since it has its own St. Thomas Beer.
Hangout at Náplavka
Náplavka, part of the Vltava riverbank, is considered to be the coolest place in Prague. Farmer's markets, food festivals, artistic performances - this vibrat meeting point has something different to offer every day. At Náplavka young locals can enjoy their glass of beer or a cup of coffee and enjoy the stunning view of the city.
Discover the history
Vysehrad is one of the most important historical places in Prague. It is a mighty fortress on a high cliff above the river Vltava. You can recognize it from far thanks to Gothic towers of the Church of St. Peter and Paul, situated there. Vysehrad is a storied place and a seat of the first King of Bohemia in the 11th century.
St. Nicholas’s Church
This Church lies at the centre of the Lesser Town Square (Malostranské náměstí) and is the largest of Prague's churches founded by the Jesuits. Constructed in 1704-1756, the church represents one of the most valuable samples of the high Baroque architecture both in the Czech lands and in the whole Europe.

Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Prague
Explore all the monastery secrets
Guest Rooms & Suites
Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Prague is located in a complex of 7 historically significant buildings including a 13th-century Augustinian monastery. Monks of the Augustinian order live in an adjacent building and act in the baroque St. Thomas Church. The touch of monastic life can be felt in every part of the hotel – from iconic room accessories and artistic features over unforgettable spa treatments inspired by the ancient recipes and impressive archangel frescoes.
All of the 101 rooms and suites are nuanced, with the majority boasting sophisticated architectural and structural characteristics from vaulted ceiling and wooden beams to original doors with ornamental ironworks. The upper floors of the original monastery building housed the monks' living quarters and in many cases two or three of the 'cells' have been combined to create the new spacious rooms and suites.
The Refectory Bar 1887 is located in the monastery’s barrel-vaulted, double-height hall, serving ingenious cocktails as well as the ever-popular ‘Angel Cocktails’, inspired by the bar’s carefully restored 19th century baroque ceiling frescoes. Our special craft cocktails are created by our Head Bartender Daniel Prokeš and his team.
